Drypoint Etchings

Drypoint etching is a basic way of printing which doesn't rely on chemicals to make the plate, which in my case is a small piece of hard plastic. It's a simple accessible method and when combined with handprinted paper (made using a gel plate) in a process called chine colle - paper stuck on with glue, produces  uniquely individual pieces. The intensely handmade nature of working like this, the methodical assembly of each section and the element of jeopardy, I find very addictive.
